KTM India has officially launched its Duke 250 ABS model in the country at INR 1.94 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Duke 250 gets a dual channel ABS setup and is costlier than the non-ABS version by roughly INR 14,000. The ABS system is switchable and can be kept off as well. There are no other changes to the Duke 250 apart from the addition of ABS.
The same design is sported by the bike including its fully digital instrument cluster, aluminium swingarm, steel-trellis chassis and split seat. There is the same single cylinder 248.8 cc liquid cooled engine that dishes out 30 HP and 24 Nm. There is also a six speed gearbox available for the bike. KTM is also preparing to foray into the middleweight category in India with its 790 Duke although nothing much is known officially about the launch of the same. Yet, several KTM dealerships are already taking bookings for the upcoming 790 Duke which will take on rivals like the Suzuki GSX-S750, Ducati Monster, Kawasaki Z900 and Triumph Street Triple.
