Indian Motorcycle has filed a patent for the Raven brand name which could be used for a new bike to be launched in the near future. As per reports, the Indian Motorcycle Raven may be based on the Indian FTR 1200. It could use the same chassis and V-Twin 1203 cc engine. The production version of the FTR 1200 was shown at the 2018 Intermot Motorcycle Show in October 2018 and then launched in December 2018 in India.
The Indian FTR 1200 draws inspiration from the FTR 750 flat-track race bike model which has already been a winner at the American Flat-Track championship several times. The FTR 1200 comes with a V-Twin 1203 cc engine that churns out 118 BHP and 115 Nm of peak torque. In case the Raven nomenclature is used for the new bike, it may get the full-black treatment. It could be either a cruiser motorcycle or even a non-cruiser bike with more dynamic features.
