Aprilia has officially unveiled the track based RSV4 X model. This has been developed courtesy Aprilia Racing and components have been sourced from the MotoGP and WSBK racing motorcycles. The RSV4 X will have a production volume of only 10 units.

The X commemorates the completion of 10 years by the iconic RSV4 model and there will be a 16 valve 1077 cc V4 engine that is also used for the RSV4 1100 Factory model. This engine has been tweaked and dishes out 225 HP. The Aprilia RSV4 X also makes use of the ANN (Aprilia No Neutral) gearbox which has the neutral below the 1st gear for faster and flawless shifts to second gear. The system has been inspired by the one on the Aprilia MotoGP motorcycle.

The bike gets the Akrapovic titanium exhaust and carbon canister along with Brembo GP-4 MS brake callipers in front and an updated air filter. The ECU has been tuned with settings specifically for track racing. The RSV4 X is lighter than the Factory version by 12 kg and has dry weight of 165 kg.

There are components finished in billet aluminium which include the front brake lever guard, clutch lever, engine sump guards, upper steering plate and adjustable foot pegs. The RSV4 X makes use of Marchesini forged magnesium wheels and comes for 39,900 Euros which equates to roughly INR 31.14 lakhs prior to taxation. This could make it rather affordable for serious enthusiasts. The 10 units will be sold online exclusively at https://factoryworks.aprilia.com/.
