The KTM 1290 Super Adventure is the flagship dual-sport motorcycle from the brand and now its 2020 avatar has been spotted testing globally. There are added body panels like the factory rally motorcycles from KTM and the KTM 790 Adventure variants. The 2020 KTM 1290 Super Adventure comes with lower panels which cover a major chunk of the engine assembly and trellis frame. There is seemingly a bigger radiator and the front looks wider as a result.

There is also an adjustable windscreen in tandem with a small and round headlight with a slit that indicates a new split-LED headlamp design like the current version. The test mule also sported rear and front WP suspension systems and the rear had a pannier-esque box. However, this may have been electronic equipment housing for supporting the testing procedure.
The present generation KTM 1290 Super Adventure has S and R variants get the same V-Twin 1301 cc engine that dishes out 160 HP and 140 Nm of peak torque. An upgrade is also likely to get the bike to adhere to the upcoming Euro-V regulations which will be implemented across European markets from the year 2020. Expect official announcement and unveil in the coming months.
