Is the Japanese company planning to launch the Yamaha XTZ 125 in India? The dual-sport bike has been spotted testing in the country and this can be used both off-road and on regular roads. The XTZ 125 is already being sold in Ecuador and the Philippines among other markets. The model spied testing in the country was seen sporting a black colour in tandem with red livery and silver accents. There is a white and blue colour option available in global markets as well. In the Philippines it costs approximately 1.16 lakh.
Globally, the bike comes with a four stroke 124 cc SOHC air cooled engine that makes 12.5 HP and 11.6 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox with 11 litres of fuel tank capacity overall. The XTZ 125 measures 2090 mm in terms of length and 830 mm in terms of width while having saddle height of 840 mm and 260 mm of ground clearance. Overall weight stands at 118 kg on a full tank and there are 21-inch and 18-inch front and rear wheels respectively.

All-terrain tyres may possibly be used for the Yamaha XTZ 125. Yamaha has not officially confirmed the launch of the bike in the Indian market although this could be a distinct possibility. There are certain challenges pertaining to the tall seat height and smaller capacity and also the price. However, there are chances of the model only being used for garnering testing data like in the case of the Honda Scoopy and Nozza Grande in the past.
