KTM has been working on the new RC 390 and we finally have pictures of the new machine. This has been spied testing almost two years post the launch of the upgraded 390 Duke. The 2020 version will have more features (electronics wise) along with some mechanical and design tweaks and is expected to launch mid 2019. The new RC 390 will get a revamped fairing and a bigger clear screen in tandem with a new headlight. This could be a vertical unit like the RC8 while the side panels may be slightly revamped as well. There are two panels which link the fairing to the secondary bodywork layer for both sides.
There could be a slightly revamped sub-frame along with a TFT colour screen with Bluetooth akin to the 390 Duke and some other minor changes. The present RC 390 is priced at INR 2.50 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) like the 390 Duke which also has the same price tag. However, the new RC 390 is expected to be costlier by anywhere around INR 10-20,000 as compared to the present version.
The new RC 390 will take on the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja which is priced at INR 2.98 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and TVS Apache RR 310 which comes for INR 2.23 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the sub 3 lakh category for motorcycles with fairing.
