Suzuki has officially started bookings for its new 2019 Suzuki Hayabusa across authorised dealerships in India. Bookings can be made for an initial payment of INR 1 lakh and the 2019 version will be sold in black and a dual-tone grey-red colour schemes. Aerodynamic designing aside, there will be radially mounted Monobloc disc brakes from Brembo and a drive mode selector on offer. The in-line-four 1340 cc engine has been retained and makes 199.7 HP and 155 Nm of peak torque as before.

The Suzuki Hayabusa has enjoyed immense popularity in the Indian market on account of its sheer performance and smooth maintenance in tandem with comparatively reasonable pricing. The new Hayabusa will be retailed at INR 13.59 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it is considerably cheaper than the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R (INR 19.70 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi) which is its main competitor.

2019 Suzuki Hayabusa will arrive in the form of Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits and these will be assembled at the company’s Gurgaon facility. Deliveries are slated to commence from the 20th of January, 2019. Suzuki recently brought the curtains down on two decades of the Hayabusa globally, discontinuing the Hayabusa GSX1300R in Japan and Europe on account of stringent emission guidelines. However, the 2019 version will continue to be offered in India for now.
