Early last month we saw the launch of the Kawasaki Ninja 650R in India, and suddenly everybody wanted one. With bookings coming in from all over India in good numbers. Bajaj have kept their promise of delivering the bikes earlier than the stipulated 90 days. Bikes are being dispatched across all major cities and the good times certainly have started rolling across India. We caught with the probiking showroom in Bangalore as the first lot of Ninja 650R’s were handed over to the customers.
The keys were handed over to the customers Mr Deepak Saligram and Mr Kiran by the Khivraj showroom owner Mr. Sanik Raj in the presence of Mr. Gaurav Rathore (Manager Probiking sales) Mr. Prakhar Muktibodh (Asst. Manager Probiking sales) and Mrs. Jaya Chacko (Manager Khivraj showroom). This was followed by a cake cutting ceremony where the customers were handed over various gifts from the Khivraj showroom.
Bajaj-Kawasaki are targeting a monthly sales of 30-35 Ninja 650r motorcycles and the rate the bookings are pouring in, it definitely seems an easy target to achieve. Earlier during the launch at Pune, Mr Rajiv Bajaj had indicated that Bajaj has plans to bring in the bigger Ninja’s to India aswell.
