Now that was a surprise, the Daytona 675 launched in India at a price of 10.15 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, the Auto Expo 2014 works in mysterious ways. We knew it was coming but not so soon! This definitely will come as pleasant surprise to all the motorcycling enthusiasts out there. Earlier in November when Triumph finally made its India foray with 10 motorcycles, the Daytona 675 was sorely missed. Triumph chose to launch only the Daytona 675R at point of time. A lot of people were looking forward to the Daytona 675 in India ever since they had presented it at the Auto Expo in 2012. The Daytona 675 produces 128 PS @ 12,500 and 74 Nm @ 11,900, power figures that simply make this motorcycle one the best if not the best in its class.
Paul Stroud – Director Sales & Marketing (Global)
“India is an exceptionally exciting market for us and the premium motorcycle segment in the country is seeing tremendous growth. With the launch of 11 motorcycles across 5 distinct model families including classic, cruiser, super sports, roadsters and adventure segments, Triumph is already enjoying a great response from the Indian market. Since launch over 100 sold orders have been taken, and now with the launch of the Daytona 675 this will give us further opportunity to grow. We are looking at a target of 500 motorcycles in first 6 months, 1000 by year-end and 1500 by mid 2015.”
