CBR500 and CB500 photographs

What we see here are the first photographs of the CBR500 and the CB500 taken by a user at the CBR250.net forum. At this point all the information we have is that this photo was taken at Honda’s Thai manufacturing plant, in what seems to look like a internal product presentation. The CBR500 obviously the faired variant and CB500 the naked one take design cues from its elder Honda siblings. More details from the forum point to the CBR500 being an elder sibling of the CBR250R with similar sports-touring characteristics and both the CBR500 and CB500 would be targeted at the Kawasaki’s Ninja 650 faired and naked versions.

Earlier there were reports of a CBR400R as well, this could still be true, since the CBR500 and the CB500 are targeted as more of a sports touring option and the CBR400 could fit in as a pure sport riding option that will take on the Ninja 300.
