IKM (India Kawasaki Motor) has officially started deliveries for its 2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R in the country. Prices were declared at INR 10.49 lakhs (ex-showroom) on the 15th of January, 2019 previously. The first unit was delivered to a buyer from Mumbai in KRT (Kawasaki Racing Team) colour which the bike comes with.

The Managing Director at Kawasaki India, Naoki Matsumoto, stated that the ZX-6R garnered huge appreciation when it was confirmed for the Indian market since it is a highly ambitious product. With deliveries being started, he expressed his hope that buyers would enjoy riding the Ninja ZX-6R on regular roads and tracks alike. The bike gets a four cylinder in-line 636 cc DOHC engine that makes 126 BHP and 70.8 Nm.

The bike also gets KIBS (Kawasaki Anti-Lock Braking System) and traction control with three modes in addition to the KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter) as a standard feature. The 6R also has multiple ride modes to suit different conditions.
